It was wonderful to meet with so many of you this week. Thank you for giving me your time to celebrate your child’s learning; sharing information so that we can work together to support key areas of development.
During our daily calendar discussions, (where we identify the number of the day, day of the week and month of the year), we noticed that an important date is approaching – November 11th. We shared ideas about why this is a special date every year and remembered family members who helped to protect our country. We watched a video to help us understand why the poppy is an important symbol on Remembrance Day. Feeling inspired by this, the children chose to make their own poppy’s to display in the classroom.
