Highlights of our last week as Skipper 1 include: learning about the Jewish celebration of Hanukkah. The children made celebration cards and decorated them with a menorah– an important symbol during this celebration.
Creating is a favourite learning activity in Skipper 1- it develops creative thinking, problem solving skills as well as social development (as the children need to negotiate, take turns and share the equipment). Photos are often requested as a memory of effort and achievement– here are a few Skipper 1 creations.
We have been reflecting about our year together, looking back and remembering all that we have learnt. Looking at and sharing workbooks for different subjects sparked many discussions and memories.
