Oly Rush

Oly Rush from Charity Project Planet Earth came to speak to Year 1 about Plastic Pollution and how we can help protect our oceans.

He orgainses regular Litterpicks every month in Dorset that you can take part in with an adult. All the equipment needed is provided that includes litter pickers, gloves, and bags. It is free to take part. His next litter pick is Sunday 28th January at Ringstead Bay, 12pm. Please go along and support Oly’s work. He has swam 100 miles along Jurassic Coast from Exmouth in Devon to Highcliffe in Dorset.

The fastest to swim around Isle of Wight, 65 miles, 15 hours 9 minutes. 

Was the first person to swim around the Greek Island of Ithaca. Oly is in The Guinness Book of World Records 2024 for the first person to Swim around Caribbean Island of Grand Cayman non stop.

60 mile distance in 36hrs 59mins.

He also rescued Joe Wicks who was on his paddleboard drifting out to sea near Lulworth Cove.
